Where is Niyama Private Islands Maldives located?

Niyama Private Islands Maldives is a 40-minute seaplane journey south of Malé or a 30-minute domestic flight to Dhaalu Atoll followed by a seven-minute speedboat transfer to the resort.

Can Niyama Private Islands Maldives arrange transfers from international flights arriving after 6:00 pm?

Seaplane journeys to Niyama Private Islands Maldives are available during daylight hours only. Guests arriving at Velana International Airport on international flights after 3.15 pm will be brought to the resort by domestic transfer.

What is there to do at Niyama Private Islands Maldives?

Niyama Private Islands has a vast range of activities for all ages. We recommend heading out to sea to encounter dolphins or diving beneath the surface to swim with the turtles. You can also surf to your heart's content – we are the Maldives' only luxury resort with surfable waves that break directly onto the island. When is the surfing season in Niyama Private Islands Maldives?

What is the difference between Chill and Play islands at Niyama Private Islands Maldives?

Chill Island is perfect for couples with relaxing activities and spa treatments, and a mix of beach and overwater villas. Play has beach rooms only and is more family-oriented with exciting treetop restaurants, a swimming pool and the kids’ club.

Does Niyama Private Islands Maldives have a kids' club?

Yes, Niyama Private Islands' award-winning kids' club, Explorers, is perhaps one of the biggest of its kind in all of the Indian Ocean. It offers a wide range of activities for children from 1 – 12 years old, and is open from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm daily.

Are buffets offered at any dining outlets in Niyama Private Islands Maldives?

Yes, at the moment we are offering a semi-buffet varieties for both breakfast & dinner as well as a A la carte selections at Epicure and Blu, which will be served by our team for the safety of our Guest and team members.

Is a PCR test compulsory to visit Niyama Private Islands Maldives?

Yes, all guests travelling to the maldives and our resort will still be required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate, regardless of your vaccination status. This is a precautionary measure implemented as part of our resort’s heighted COVID-19 Safety Protocols. 

The PCR test certificate must be in English and conducted a maximum of 96 hours prior to the scheduled time of your departure flight to the Maldives, from your first point of embarkation. The test certificate must contain the following information:

  • Name of the passenger (name as in passport).
  • Passport number/National identification number 
  • Name and address of the testing laboratory
  • Type of test stated as a PCR test 
  • Date and time of sampling 
  • Test result

Children under one year old are exempted from this test. If a transit is made during your journey, the initial PCR test will be valid provided the transit time does not exceed 24 hours. If the transit time exceeds 24 hours, the PCR test must be repeated within 96 hours prior to the scheduled time of your departure flight to the Maldives

Niyama has partnered with local medical facilities in Malé to offer PCR tests service at USD 150 per person per test with an advance notice of 72 hours/ 96 hours required. Testing will be done in the privacy of your villa and samples will be sent immediately to the laboratory for analysis. Test results will be provided within 48 hours and sent by email. Do we have to quarantine when we arrive at Niyama Private Islands Maldives?

No quarantine is required when visiting the Maldives.

Are there any medical facilities available at Niyama Private Islands Maldives?

Yes, our resort doctor and nurse are on call 24 hours a day. Consultations and examinations are free for all guests with the exception of situations requiring further medical attention or referral, including and not limited to, laboratory testing and transfer to a government medical facility.
