Niyama Private Islands Maldives is a 40-minute seaplane journey south of Malé or a 30-minute domestic flight to Dhaalu Atoll followed by a seven-minute speedboat transfer to the resort.
Seaplane journeys to Niyama Private Islands Maldives are available during daylight hours only. Guests arriving at Velana International Airport on international flights after 3.15 pm will be brought to the resort by domestic transfer.

Yes, all guests travelling to the maldives and our resort will still be required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate, regardless of your vaccination status. This is a precautionary measure implemented as part of our resort’s heighted COVID-19 Safety Protocols.
The PCR test certificate must be in English and conducted a maximum of 96 hours prior to the scheduled time of your departure flight to the Maldives, from your first point of embarkation. The test certificate must contain the following information:
Children under one year old are exempted from this test. If a transit is made during your journey, the initial PCR test will be valid provided the transit time does not exceed 24 hours. If the transit time exceeds 24 hours, the PCR test must be repeated within 96 hours prior to the scheduled time of your departure flight to the Maldives
Niyama has partnered with local medical facilities in Malé to offer PCR tests service at USD 150 per person per test with an advance notice of 72 hours/ 96 hours required. Testing will be done in the privacy of your villa and samples will be sent immediately to the laboratory for analysis. Test results will be provided within 48 hours and sent by email. Yes, our resort doctor and nurse are on call 24 hours a day. Consultations and examinations are free for all guests with the exception of situations requiring further medical attention or referral, including and not limited to, laboratory testing and transfer to a government medical facility.
