Guests have three options to reach our resort – via shared seaplane transfer, by domestic transfer or by VIP private chartered flight.
Niyama Private Islands Maldives sits an exhilarating 40-minute seaplane journey south of Malé. Our airport representative greets you on your arrival at Malé International Airport, where they will assist you with check-in for your seaplane transfer. Soar over rings of islands. Glimpse villages and deserted isles surrounded by crystal-clear waters.
Please note that seaplanes only operate during daylight hours. Guests arriving after 3:15 pm will be transported to the resort the next day. For such arrivals, it is suggested to book an overnight stay near the airport. International departure flights should be scheduled after 9:15 am to guarantee a seamless same-day departure.
Roundtrip transfers are priced at USD 610 per person and subject to a 12% goods & services tax (GST), with 50% off for children up to 11 years old.
For an alternative option, guests can take a 30-minute domestic flight from Malé International Airport to the newly opened Dhaalu Airport, followed by a 10-minute speedboat transfer to Niyama. Roundtrip transfers is at USD 400 per adult, subject to 12% GST, with 50% off for children up to 11 years old.
Note: Due to the current situation and lack of demand for the domestic flights, domestic flights will temporarily not operate flights to Dhaalu Airport during the month of October 2020.
VIP PRIVATE CHARTER FLIGHTS
All transfers booked by the resort include a maximum baggage allowance of 20 kg per passenger (USD 5 per additional kg, subject to 12% GST). Hand luggage should not exceed 20" x 12" x 7" in size or 5 kg in weight. For a smooth trip, please share your arrival and departure flight details with us at least 3 days before your arrival. Niyama Private Islands Maldives is delighted to facilitate flight bookings between Manta Air and guests of Niyama. All flights are carried out by Manta Air, our preferred airline partner in the Maldives, and are subject to Maldivian’s terms and conditions which can be found here.
Please note that Manta Air bears all responsibility and liability for the flight services and other services provided by Manta Air, and that Niyama is not liable for Manta Air’s services.
Whilst split stay travel within the Maldives is permitted by the Ministry of Tourism, we have taken the decision to temporarily disallow all split stay arrivals at our resort unless you are travelling from another resort within the Minor Hotels portfolio. This precautionary measure is implemented as part of our resort’s heighted COVID-19 Safety Protocols. It applies to all new bookings made from 7th November 2020. Should you wish to stay in another establishment that is not within the Minor Hotels portfolio during your trip to the Maldives, your itinerary must start with our resort. Our team will process the necessary documents and approvals required under the Split Stay permit application for your next stay. During this period, all day trips to our resort will also not be permitted.
